El salario mínimo profesional en el mercado laboral de México
Resumen
Este artículo estudia los efectos del salario mínimo por ocupación en el mercado laboral mexicano durante el periodo 2005-2024. En primer lugar, se utiliza la Encuesta Nacional de Ocupación y Empleo (ENOE) para obtener el salario medio y mediano, salario mínimo general y profesional, entre otras variables relacionadas con capital humano como edad y escolaridad. Posteriormente, se construye un panel de datos con 29 ocupaciones homologadas entre el Sistema Nacional de Clasificación de Ocupaciones y la Clasificación Mexicana de Ocupaciones y variables más destacadas que permiten identificar los cambios entre la oferta y la demanda laboral. Se encuentra que cuando el vínculo salarial es más fuerte el mercado tiende a ser más flexible, pero en ocasiones, a costo de la pérdida de poder de negociación del trabajador.
